Buckingham, Doylestown, Middletown, New Britain, and Warrington are working together to protect the creeks we share.
Why we are working together
Rain that falls on your street runs into the same creeks as rain that falls two towns over. On its way, it picks up oil, road salt, lawn fertilizer, and loose soil.
Water does not stop at the township line. So no single town can fix this alone.
That is why five townships formed the Neshaminy Collaborative. We signed an agreement in June 2026, along with the Neshaminy Watershed Association and the Bucks County Conservation District. We held our first meeting on August 20.
What we are starting with
- Solving problems once, not five times. We meet regularly and share what works, so one township's good idea does not stay in one township.
- Applying for grants as a group. Bigger projects attract more funding when towns apply together instead of competing.
- Teaching people about clean water. We are building one set of materials that all five townships can use.
- Giving you ways to help. Stream cleanups, tree plantings, and other events you can join.
How you can help
Join the Resident Community. It is free. It is where neighbors from all five townships swap ideas, hear about events first, and show up to cleanups together. Bring a friend — this is more fun with company.
Get to know your township's Environmental Advisory Council. Many of our volunteers start there.

Is my township part of this?
Right now, the members are Buckingham, Doylestown, Middletown, New Britain, and Warrington Townships. Other towns in the Neshaminy watershed are welcome to join.
Does this cost me anything?
No. It is about getting more done with what our townships already spend.
Who runs it?
A committee with one person from each member township, plus the Neshaminy Watershed Association and the Bucks County Conservation District.

For township officials and staff
The Neshaminy Collaborative is a voluntary partnership of municipalities in the Neshaminy watershed, formed under a Memorandum of Agreement signed in June 2026. NWA and BCCD serve as co-chairs. Its first services support intermunicipal coordination, joint grant applications, and the public education and public participation work that every township's MS4 stormwater permit requires.
